Son of Godzilla (1967)

Veering more into kid-friendly territory at the expense of giant monster action, Son of Godzilla is a fairly dull entry in the series.

While not the most faithful adaptation of Shakespeare’s work, Tromeo & Juliet is still an outrageously wild black comedy.

Building off of what worked in the original while also expanding upon it, A Quiet Place Part II makes for a solid and fairly tense follow-up.

With a strong cast, a memorable monster, and a deeper story than you’d expect from Full Moon, Castle Freak is another Stuart Gordon classic.

Despite some plot contrivances, A Quiet Place largely succeeds thanks to its great cast, emphasis on suspense, and solid creature effects.
